What I built
My smart automation platform for controlling electrical appliances, organizing rooms and monitoring device states through a responsive web dashboard.
Why this product was needed
A useful automation system needs more than hardware switching: users need authentication, organized rooms/devices, realtime state, a scalable backend and a web interface that stays simple across phones and desktops.
How it works
The initial system used React and Firebase for authentication and realtime state management with ESP32 hardware. It is being evolved to a Next.js, TypeScript, MongoDB and MQTT architecture for scalable realtime control.
Built for real operations
Nova Control was awarded at the FYP Exhibition and continues as an actively developed product direction for homes, offices and shops.
